Hey agents — let’s talk about something that’s easy to forget but super important. And no, it’s not your lockbox code (although, yikes if you forget that too 😅).
We’re talking about your Brokerage Name / Logo. Yes, your trusty sidekick. Your required-by-law buddy. Your branding BFF.
Here’s the deal:
If you’re putting out anything that has to do with your real estate business — whether it’s a postcard, Instagram Reel, flyer, business card, website, email signature, open house sign, or a skywriting ad (hey, dream big) — your Brokerage Name MUST be included.
Why? Because it’s required. But also because it builds trust, keeps your marketing compliant, and shows that you’re a professional operating under a reputable brand. You might be the face of your business, but your brokerage is the foundation.
Let’s break it down:
🚫 Just your name and phone number = Not enough🚫 Just your website and cute Canva template = Still not enough✅ Your name + contact + Brokerage name/logo = Winner winner, compliant dinner!
Think of it like this — if your post says “Call me to sell your home!” and your brokerage isn’t on there, it’s like inviting someone to dinner and forgetting to cook the food. You’re missing a key ingredient.
Light Bulb Moment 💡
Even if your social post feels casual (like “Hey friends, just listed this cutie!”), if your name, phone, or website is on it — it’s considered a real estate advertisement, and your brokerage needs to be part of the party.
Quick Checklist:
🏷️ Is it about real estate?
📞 Does it include your contact info?
🌐 Does it link to your site or listings? If the answer is yes to any of these, slap that brokerage name or logo on there like it's your favorite sticker.
Bonus Perk:
It actually makes you look more legit when your marketing clearly shows who you’re affiliated with. Consumers recognize brands, and being associated with a trusted brokerage like RE/MAX, for example, gives you extra credibility from the jump.
